Performance Lanco 1370 LF is a readily dispersible wax with a high melting range and
excellent toughness. This additive shows a high hardness in combination
with matting efficiency and an especially good resistance againt
burnishing. Because it contains no halogens, Lanco 1370 LF can also be
employed in areas where PTFE/ PE waxes cannot be used.
In the above mentioned coatings, Lanco 1370 LF provides the following
characteristics:
? Excellent scratch and abrasion resistance
? Very good resistance against burnishing
? Uniform matting with smooth surface feel
? Reduction of coefficient of friction
? Antiblocking properties due to the high melting point
Incorporation Lanco 1370 LF is very easily dispersible. It can be incorporated using
normal stirrers. In very low viscosity systems high shear mixers such as
dissolvers or bead mills may be required.
For production of pastes, the concentration range of the wax should be
approx. 25-30%.

Addition levels To improve surface properties such as scratch resistance and slip, the
recommended addition rate is 0.1 to 2.5% Lanco 1370 LF, based on the
total formulation.
For matting a combination of Silica/ Lanco 1370 LF in a ratio of 1:1 to 4:1
can be used. The addition rate of wax should be 1 to 5% based on the
total formulation.

Typical properties
Packaging and storage Lanco 1370 LF is packed in 20 kg paper sacks. Sacks should be stored
on pallets in enclosed areas. In relatively warm storage areas the sacks
should not be stacked too high. A storage temperature of 30°C should not
be exceeded. Shelf life: at least 12 months from date of shipment. After
this, product should be tested before use.
Regulatory status Lanco 1370 LF complies with FDA regulation 21 CFR §175.300
All components are listed on/in compliance with the US TSCA, Canadian
