Lanco? 1799
Product Type Micronized Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)
Performance Lanco 1799 provides a very high and consistent level of slip and
abrasion resistance due to PTFE’s extremely low coefficient of
friction. Its particle size distribution makes it well suited for use in a
wide range of aqueous and non-aqueous resin systems.
Typical Applications Lanco 1799 is useful in a wide range of industrial coatings,
especially coil coatings.
Incorporation Lanco 1799 can be easily dispersed into liquid coatings using lowspeed
mixers. Formulation variables such as viscosity, solvent
package, resin type, selection of dispersant, pigment surface
treatment, etc. can influence the ease of incorporation. Highenergy
dispersers may offer advantages in some applications.
Addition Levels The recommended addition level for Lanco 1799 is 0.1 to 2.0%,
based on total formulation weight.

Typical Properties
Packaging and Storage Lanco 1799 is packaged in 90-kg (200-lb) drums, palletized.
Material should be stored on pallets in enclosed areas. A storage
temperature of 30°C should not be exceeded.
Regulatory Status Lanco 1799 complies with FDA regulation 21 CFR 175.300 for use
as a release agent.
